Shoorveer revolves around a serious issue that is the India-Pakistan rivalry, which beyond being overdone in the cinema, doesn’t actually do much to engage us in anything meaningful; all it does is remind us that yes, they’re probably up to something that we don’t know about. By making this film a direct political statement either way on this very topic which has been done over and over, it fails to really hold our interest. After several high-stakes situations, NAPA decides it needs specialized military personnel who can deal with these kinds of threats head on. The project is green-lit and Captain Rajan Malik (Manish Choudhari) is given this responsibility. Not only are the best officers brought under one roof to form HAWKS (High Altitude Warfare), but they’re also given additional training in areas like diving and photography at Daman. Now, how cool would THAT be?
