In the words of meerkat Timon, “disaster’s in the air.” Not to worry though, pilot-in-command Ajay Devgn is as coolly composed as ever. This daredevil has done a fair share of flying and crashing into things to have any residual fear that might be left. Instead, our flying cowboy flips a cigarette in his mouth and chooses to distract himself by closing his eyes while indulging in some music–a trance inducing Jasleen Royal number soothes ears whiles absorbing attention turns it into both an unconscious experience and hallucination–the world slips away around him at the rumbling of engines overhead. Runway 34 is inspired by true events but its clever title is due to the fact that Bollywood titles tend to make their events seem bigger than they are or sometimes even fictitious in whole – they’re afraid if you don’t know this then you might not watch!
